Genuinely sorry to hear this.  There isn't much consolation anyone can offer that makes this any easier.  All the same, I'll continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother. My mom just finished her chemo and I'm waiting to hear if it worked.

I am sorry to hear that she passed away.

But damn, 11 years? She had one strong will, thats certainly something to be proud of, and to remember if youd ask me. Ive seen people who didnt last a week.

Thank you for the kind words Lex, and yes she was a hell of a fighter. She went into recovery a few times after getting 1/4, another 1/4 then finally the rest of the left lung removed. So sometimes it was good, and sometimes not so. But she gifted me with some interesting thoughts and memories and after all, isn't that the best legacy one can leave behind? i'm one hell of an introspective and philosophical person, and yet she taught me some new tricks. Cheers forever and on and on...
