Why would you have to hate things or act like you hate things to make good industrial music? I bet you can make awesome aggrotech without having to hate everything. It be a nice change from all the guys that act like they hate everything while they really dont have any reason for that hate... It makes them sort of emo.

well the "hate" thing your talking about can be like shit that their going through in life, things that bother them about the world, and in the early stages when the music is raw I think that the feelings inside them really lets the music become manifested, but it all depends on the artist.
And actually a lot of that angry kind of sound isn't always anger, a lot of the time its excitement
extreme euphoria, enthusiasm for the music etc.

Yeah but why would you have to make music about that? I can get the angry sound, but thats just an automatic result of vocal distortion and the speed of the music. He can sing about birds and bees and still sound angry. Just like a black metal dude can make songs about the sun and it would still sound like hes in some sort of satanic ritual summoning deamons.

I personally like what Grendel did with the vocal changes. Honestly, I'm was getting bored of the "donald - duck" voice as far as music releases in thise "scene" goes.  I admit it's a bit too poppy compared to earlier releases, but at least this shows that VLRK  can actually sing. The only song I dislike on the EP is Shortwired.

   well if u want to hear that kind of sound then go for some other band its not a good sound for Grendel there is nothing wrong with change but not all change is good seems to me that this is a bad change for Grendel some one in  here said if its not broken then don't fix it well they are right

So, finally heard the new Grendel song on DG. I did not recognize it, and was surprised, of course, when I looked. 

It wasn't bad, but then there weren't any vocals. 

But, when the first word(acronym) I hear is MDMA, it totally explained the new sound.

I'm not fond of their new vocal style at all. They sound just like every other band now.. too mainstream and boring :C

It reminds me of Breathe Carolina.  I never liked them but it a bit more tolerable to me now.
