I'm starting to think about a site design refresh and I know there are a few bugs/feature suggestions kicking around that I'd like to put in one place.
I'm thinking of adding a song like/don't like rating system on top of the album reviews.
Cleaning up the front page to provide less clutter.
Fixing some of the outstanding bugs in the music DB.
Please post other bugs/feature requests here. If you have a feature request, just throw it out even if you can't articulate it well, I'm mostly looking for ideas.

All for the individual song rating. Query though, are you thinking of incorporating it into the play system? I.E.:will a song that gets rated poorly not get played as much or not at all? And are you leaning toward a 5-star kind of thing or a single thumbs up/down kind of thing? And i love the fact that you are willing to put it 'on top' of the over all album reviews.

is it too much of a pain in the arse to make it a triple thumb maybe? A single just seems too damn definitive, too black and white as in 'you hate it or you love it' kind of situation.

I think it would add a level of pointless complexity, honestly. The album reviews will still exist for more in depth criticism. The song rating is more "I like this song" or "I don't like this song" which, I hope, covers everything from love to hate. |
