Hey, im not a recorder/DJ, but i do PA stuff and sometimes record live shows.
im using a PreSonus FirePOD and its software for that.
The upside on this is that you have direct 3pin XLR inputs which allow no induction of stuff from like cellphones or other devices with active radio link.
The recording outcome is of great quality and can the be edited in any other audio editing software such as CuBase, Adobe Soundbooth or similar.
