Thanx a lot Lexus.. :)

..maybe you know, but..

..there is a tradition in Slovakia and surrounded coutries to throw cold water on girls and swish them with willow "plait" (8-12 willow rods wattled together) on Easter Monday.
Its a very old habit with pagan roots, when druids bless the land (fields and houses) with some kind of that "plait"..
It symbolises "transfer" or "induction" of properties of the young, lifeful willow rods to other things or people..
Christians killed allmost all of the pagans in violent christianisation but the idea of this "transfer" didnt dissapear.
Nowadays is absolutely tolerated by all of the religion authorities (they have no choice) and it becomes more and more popular..

Some people claim that the Easter Monday is the only day in year when women can be legally beated :D

Its a great occasion for me to make some new relationships and reestablish the old ones.. Its a lot of fun all the time (a lot of alcohol, smiling friends unable to stand straightly and promising girls, who really stand on the fact, that they will be really kind and nice :D)

As the previous ones, Easter was really great! :P

Of course you should, I shall be happy to.. :D

This year wasnt warm enough to make some "wet-Tshirt-fest" but there were some "hotter" years.. :P

And be careful, girls usually put up a heavy (and wet) resistance.. :P

i am still trying to figure out if you mean "beaten"

which makes me remember my friend telling me where "rule by thumb" comes from
back in the days it was legal to beat your wife with anything as long as it was not bigger than the size of the man's thumb, thus rule by thumb

which sucks if you get a guy with hands the size of pans ....

they should try me ...

No no no Creeps, this isnt the same as "The Thumb rule".. I havent heard nothing about that yet..

The "beating" (whipping with willow plait) is only symbolical, not with force.. Its a symbol of transfering young energy to women and girls but some men and boys are laughing on that sentence you has quoted.
Its only a joke..

Last but not least, if they would swish too strong, you could throw some cold water on them in revenge.. >:D

The Boondock Saints:

Connor: Basically the rule of thumb here is...
Rosengurtie: Wait, rule of thumb? In the early 1900s it was legal for men to beat their wives, as long as they used a stick no wider than their thumb.
Connor: Well, can't do much damage with that then, can we? Perhaps it should have been a rule of wrist?

<sigh>

All my friends give me a rash of shit because I've never seen *this* movie or *that* movie. Boondock Saints is one of those movies on my list of movies that I *should* have seen by now.

So you have seen the movie but didn't know about the rule of thumb until your friend told you about it?
