Theory is when you know everything and nothing works.
Practice is when things work, and no one knows why.
Here we combine theory and practice.
Nothing works and no one knows why.

i'm just so glad that Burning - Dancing can now be in the mix since the stupid 'hidden' track prevented it from being on from the first album - too long with minutes of silence betwixt. It was interesting in the 90s when it first started happening on CDs, but now........   and that's all i have to say about that. Except, of course, a monstrous THANK YOU Shirow for putting it on  =))))

yeah. Though i get     frustrated     when artist put out a 'best of' when they are only a few albums deep. i mean, i understand the fact that they need to make money, but for fuck's sake, are you more interested in your art or the bloody bills it puts in your pocket to give you a certain lifestyle?

But then again, one always has to sell one's artistic talent out in order to make a living off of it. It's an horrible vicious circle...that reminds me of a joke, but it's visual, so i can't show you here and i guess you just get to wonder...  ;P

Anyway, like i said before, i'm just glad that Burning can now be played  =)

I happened to see a message from Faderhead on his website a while back that was extremely critical of "fans" who play his music but don't buy it. He basically told them all to get bent. This was right around the time he decided he wasn't going to release the third album. He changed his mind later (and the post disappeared).

I'm guessing that he isn't exactly getting rich being a musician. My CD copy of FH1 from amazon.com was $35.

Some musicians should stop complaining about that. Sure you can say its better if people actually buy your cd, and I try to buy every cd I like. But for god sake, make your cd available for people! I have to search in all the dark corners of the internet to get some of those bands cd's, using payment methods I prefer not to use. Some times it really seems like those bands dont want their music to be bought by people.

Jebus. $35?! Even RIAA doesn't screw music fans that hard.

Imported, I guess. I hope it made him feel better.  : P  I got the impression from his rant that he expected, at best, to break even on FH3.

Yeah, probably not as i doubt many electronic musicians do. Was just facetiously ranting. And yeah, mine was about that much as well =/. But then i love every song on it, so for me it was worth it. i'd rather spend that on an album that i like every track on than $10, $15 or $20 for one that i like one or two tracks on. But that's just me.

Personally I still prefer to spend $10-$15 on a album where I love each and every single track. Usually thats the case, so I cant complain =)
