i can't get into mma.  it's like wrasslin'.  all she shit talking, but the fights are real.  mma noobs also chap my ass.  these 14 year old kids who have had 3 free lessons at their local dojo and obsess over fight videos on youtube and hang out on bullshido.com are a bunch of know it all shit talkers who know jack and shitabout hand to hand combat.  anytime you talk about mma online you get these jack-asses.  Very few forums are well regulated enough to keep them out.  most real mma practitioners will happily tell you that they know that their martial art is a sport and is not the super, freaking best MA in the world.  How is being taught to fight within rules make yours the best martial art? but you can't tell the kids that.  they are just like the ninja noobs in the 80's. remember frank dux and ashida kim?  I actually enjoy wushu more.  i also like to watch grappling competitions, especially when lesser known styles like pankration, chin na, and silat are pitted against the better known styles.

Hi there.  That was a nice clean knockout from Silva.  Very nice.  it's actually quite easy to know someone out with an elbow.  It's actually easier to kill them that way too, especially if you have already been fighting him for a while and he has already taken some blows to the head.  I could see the control that Silva had when he gave that strike.  It's like he know just how much to give to know the dude out and not risk any other injury to his opponent.  Very professional.  I love that take downin the second video.  You don't see it that often.  The first time I fought a Silat guy he kept taking me to the ground with various techniques like that.  These were techniques that seemed to be immitating the movements of monkeys and elephants.  I was completely surprised because I hadn't seen the style before.  but he was just as surprised because I knew what to do when the got to the ground and he wasn't expecting that.  Cross training is valuable experience and fun.
