Every time I try to stream the music online, no matter what program, the link only gives me a gibberish text file to download. Help! I miss the music!

I've had some problems with the playlist generator plugins too ... for an example the media player one gives me file named dg.download in chrome, only need to rename it though.

Hum. I will look into it.. those files are dynamically generated by a script when you click the link. So it comes up for you as dg.download but the content of the file is correct, right?
