Seems when Dependent went bankrupt a while ago (it's up and running again now), Stefan Herwig (= Dependent) put a large chunk of their catalogue up on Pirate Bay as legal downloads. The downloads are all listed as http://thepiratebay.org/user/Stefan_Herwig/and consist of older releases of Interlace,Stromkern,Autoagression,Rotersand,Suicide Commando,Sulpher,VNV Nation,Ivory Frequency,Pride and Fall, Controlled Collapse and Dismantled. As Dependent is up and running, I dunno if the offer still stands (you'll have to ask Stefan about that), but at least the torrents are up there with the bundled info...

Even if they where legal I would still not download them. It appears that Im a collector of sorts and I prefer to have actual physical cds instead of downloaded things. Except of course, when there are no physical copies and the download is legal.

Well, the reason he put them there was that he owned the right to them, and his label was bankrupt so they were unavailable... so I guess both your criteria are fulfilled - although I guess there's still copies to be found in various record shops around... (like www.shadowland.no). btw - as an advice from someone who held on to physical copies for too long... consider if that's what you wanna do, you're probably gonna swap to digital sooner or later, and the ton of physical cd's that you dunno how to store and you paid 3x the price for will annoy the shit out of you then...

I already store them on my computer. Its just that I like having a cd where only 250 copies where made off. If I download that same cd, the fact that its a rare cd has absolutely no value. Yeah it costs a lot more. But it wouldnt be a proper collection if it was all for free and it would just be bytes on a hard drive. Besides, I started with downloading them, and Ive switched over to getting physical copies.

Anyone managed to download everything? I have like two thirds but the rest is completely stuck :/ I'm seeding the files I managed to download so others can get them.

Probably a good thing you are storing them on the computer as you are getting them. I met a guy down in Austin with something like 5 or 6 thousand physical CD's that he is, or was - maybe he's finished by now - in the process of converting.

I got 99% of the klinik download before I gave up and got it through another torrent (figured that was ok).

Damn! Good thing none of them ever finished downloading... Anyway, I guess I'll have to go out and find payable versions of the Klinik albums now... :/ It's sad that the Klinik albums are so unavailable, since they're really worth getting...
