I'm really looking forward to this game..

I'm a big RPG fan and this one looks to be great. Anyone know of any other good RPGs coming out soon?

Personally, I am pretty much DONE with the whole medieval "sword&sorcery" genre.  The whole time I was playing EverQuest (*spit*), I kept asking myself why nobody was coming out with a game like that, but set in a "Mad Max / Roadwarrior" universe instead of the played-out "dungeons and dragons" theme.

Well, somebody read my mind...

I am in the Auto Assault beta, I can probably get you a code if you want to try it, they keep sending me more and more.

I'm a little tired of MMORPGs myself which is really why I'm looking forward to Oblivion.

I'm going to poison so many people. The assassin's guild is going to have my portrait on the wall as the employee of the month.

Then, I'll kill all of them, too.

I finally got some free time to finish the main quest and the Mage's Guild quest, which for the most part are the same quest with different NPCs.  Daedric cultists? Necromancer cultists? There is no difference - they all wear silly robes, drink Kool Aid and chant to their hoary, ancient benefactors who will just eat them like Doritos when they manifest on Tamriel. I didn't think there was a limit to my desire for killing silly, zealotous cultists. I stand corrected.

The game was fun - the main plot was a bit of a let down, as the whole process could have been avoided as early as the siege on Kvatch. I might go do the Daedric shrines quests with some other character.

I preferred the Mad Max theme. Why the hell can't anyone make an original RPG these days?

the reason why most people have not gone back into the original series (developers of course), is because they want to try something different and develop a new way on crafting, combat, graphics, and other improvements to their new games. Most people like and dislike Oblivion because of the lack of quests out there, and since the game is modable (which means you can download new content in it (only for PC)). However, I kinda like Oblivion cause of the mods that entertain me, however the game no longer entertain me cause of some technical difficulties of lag & crash.

i know this is horribly outdated but if that's the sort of thing you're into, bethesda (creators of morrowind and oblivion) picked up the fallout series rights a few years back and are getting ready to drop Fallout 3 in our laps (PC, 360, and PS3) in october :D  if you've never played fallout, they were some of the best post-apoc style games ever.  scratch up a copy of fallout 2 for pc if u have a chance and give it a whack... it's so much fun

ok i'll quit rambling and go to bed
