Let's say you could buy either single MP3s or full albums of the songs on DG in MP3 format, through links on the site.
Let's say they were DRM free and high quality.
Let's say the prices were comparable to other music sites out there today (<$1 per song and $8+ per album)
Would you do it?

yesh !
i definitely would do it (preferably by credit card i think, i have never used pay pal or would now how to set it up) and all the money taken in would solely benefit DG

I generally go through iTunes because its just easier, but yes, drm and highquality ill take. Especially if it further promotes DG.

im surprised that there seems to be no feedback at all from us dg users/listeners
the usual suspects, but i would have expected more of a positive take on this question, with the average of 20 guests looking on the boards and so many regular registered users
im not sure if i should find that disappointing or not

I agree; I'm really hoping that this will be a future option at DG and am also a little surprised and confused by the lack of other responses from other people than you, swampy and me.

I would singlehandedly make this go in plus Chuck Norris style... I would have to put a limit on my credit card to prevent the spending to go out of hand...
this is somewhere near the top of my wishlist... just make sure it's available for europeans too, that's where amazon.com screwed me over...

Well, to put some perspective on this, I'm sure if I were to do it, it would have to be handled through some third party, but I am looking for a way to do it so that there are downloads available to people in multiple countries, no DRM, high quality and decent prices.
I have found a couple of options, but nothing set in stone yet.

Das wäre super, wenn der Kauf von MP3's bald bei Euch möglich wäre und ihr einen Weg/Möglichkeit der Bezahlung (betreffs der verschiedenen Währungen in der Welt) findet. Ich wäre definitiv ein potenzieller Kunde... :)

I usually use iTunes, but I usually go through the trouble of converting it to MP3. If DG did DRM-less downloads, I'd be all over it. One-stop shopping for my Industrial needs? Yes, please.

I don't know how it is nowadays, but at least some years ago, Apple was ruled to be in violation of Norwegian consumer laws (hardly a surprise)...
