Hey this is Brother John...
I am filming a fun little picture show,
actually a "silent" film (black and white, digital) about my college (the College of Saint Scholastica) and the montage is going to start out all cute and shiny about how quaint this place looks, then in an instant, everything that was soft and cuddly about this place becomes a creepy nightmare.
Tower Hall, our castle on campus, is the central figure,
because sometimes at night it can appear to be eerily looming on the hilltop.

Here's where you guys come in... with all silent films there is music. At first for the fluffy part, I have selected part of the song "Dulcis Amor" by Qntal, but for the creepy part, I can't decide if I want to use Bach's classic (yet cliche) "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" or the pipe organ intro to ApB's "Love Never Dies" or something from Psychlon Nine... I kinda want it to be more Darkwave or elektro-gothic rather than industrial or synthpop, but I am really open to suggestions... but keep in mind that this montage will be PG/PG13.

So in a nutshell, what song would make a nice castle look  creepy at night?

Practice is when things work, and no one knows why.
Here we combine theory and practice.
Nothing works and no one knows why.

Nightmarish music then. I was 33% reluctant to just go with Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, but there was a thunderstorm in Duluth at the time I was cropping and editing part of the Fugue, and my roomates were commenting on how eerie it was to hear those pipe organs during a storm.

I compiled a brief montage of footage I made so far and slapped in a few shots from Nosferatu... they probably won't be in the final cut, but this video is only a vague archetype of what I actually want in the end. I need less stills and more people.  The film can be accessed at

It is kinda plain and boring so far, but if you would like to view it and give some feedback, I think I am ready for some constructive criticism.
