I play alot of table-top roleplaying games, such as D&D, Unisystem, Obsidian, Crossroads of Eternity, etc., and during certain scenes, I like to play certain songs to get a feel across to my players. For instance, I was running a demo of Obsidian, and decided to use this station and just let it play in the background of a club scene. Other times I've used it as "combat music", or "what happened in the last game was...".

So, #1 does anybody else roleplay? #2 If so, do you like to use any songs from Digital Gunfire / just let the station play by itself?

Do MMORPGs count?

DG is a great soundtrack for AutoAssault (a postapocalypse car-combat MMORPG)... except that it's too bandwidth-intensive to do both at once on a low-end DSL connection.

I don't consider many video games to be roleplaying, because you tend to never have a say in what happens. But that's just me.

See, you need to get the super high end stuff! I am 3000 feet from the distribution point; I max out just above 5 mbps!

I'm a D&D/Paranoia Player. DG don't go down too well with my group. I mainly listen to DG while I play WoW/CoH-CoV/Eve-Online since its a hell of alot better than the soundtracks.

I could steal a few lines from a book that are profound.
But I think I will leave that up to you all. I am happy with this for my signature...

What MMO's do you play Shirow?
And what servers?

I have to agree with Hellfencer on the point of not having a say in Computer based games, just about the lvl's in MMO's.
In tabletop its more political... Well at least in the games I'm in anyway.

Yeah, mine too. A good game should have plenty of drama / politics, but also the opportunity to ruin them all with a missile, or well placed punch to the jaw.

I know DM's like that. At that point, the players may as well just leave, and watch the DM play the whole thing by himself. It may even be more exciting that way :P

I roleplay in Neverwinter Nights and in Ultima Online. I have tried out other online games, but these are the only two that keep me intrested, and yes since I have started listening to Digital Gunfire I have had it on non stop during my roleplay.
