I actually found a way to get DG in your car.
1. Buy Sprint Treo 700p 2. Buy PocketTunes Deluxe 3. Enjoy EvDO speeds + Shoutcast capable player 4. Plug Treo 700p into car stereo with appropriate input 5. Enjoy DG anywhere That's really tempting

Sprint Commercial:
"Hi! I'm Shirow! Buy all this crap so you can listen to DigitalGunfire in your car, or Andy LePlegua will descend upon your mother in the night and spawn a brother unto you."

The good thing about DG is that it's a free internet radio with top quality music. I don't care if it's 192 kbps or 128 kbps really because most people don't notice the difference.
I can't afford to pay to listen to music I simply cannot listen to anywhere else except from the CD's I buy when I'm in Oslo.
Maybe you should keep the free streams and maybe add a 192 kbps stream for premium users?

I had sprint 4 years ago and i totally hated it , they gave me alot of hastle so i wont be buying anything from them.On a side not those with cingular and tmobile and either a blackjack , mda , 8125/8525 or usually wm device can get something similar to pocket streamer and can stream from any of those phones ,also if you happen to get anything with 3g/hsdpa streaming will be alot easier and less skippy . Have fun!

I'd love the stream in 192. Most people can't tell the difference between that and 128 but I can. Anyone that has more than two speakers should be able to. When you have 5+ speakers you can really tell the difference. EBM has a lot of tracks in it, at 128 it gets quite a bit chimey on some of the cymbals and background noises. However, part of the allure of internet radio is the free part. We already pay for connections to it, why add more costs? If it is a matter of paying versus living with 128, I'll take 128 and buy a tshirt from the site instead. What is the biggest cost though? The dedicated box or the bandwidth fees? If it's the box, do you use a real full blown server or just a converted desktop PC? If the latter, someone might be inclined to donate a system...

How does adding more speakers help you hear 2 channel audio better?

Theory is when you know everything and nothing works. Practice is when things work, and no one knows why. Here we combine theory and practice. Nothing works and no one knows why.
