So I just started producing industrial/EBM and I was wondering where to go from here. As of now, any song I like I just submit to newgrounds.com's audio portal. Should I be trying to compile a cd? What should I be trying to do to improve my work? Better equipment and software or just better understanding of the fundamentals of music? Anyways, is this song any good? Do I have any potential? http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/193175

Not bad man. I like the 90's meets EBMish type stuff. Needs allot of compression ect. Depends on what style of song you're going for , but learning more tech is a must. Mixing and mastering is the crux and necessity of any electro muso these days. I'm more of the ballad writing kinda muso who likes structured songs that allow for verses and chorus's. There is no real law except the basic understanding of notes and key changes in music. Keep at it man...it's all good.

you could make an ep, build a myspace page, try and get a small fan base started, talk to some djs about spining your stuff at a goth night as well.

Join a whole bunch of forums and post some of your work. Thats a way to get some attention. And joining sites like Myspace is pretty usefull as well.

Like one of the posters above said. We (live) DJ's love to get a track that isn't released yet mainstream and play it if its good. It's a great way to get your work out there. =)
I love having people come up to me after (or during) a show and ask.. "What was that one track?..."
This sounds like you have good potential, keep up the effort!

Sounds pretty sick, I like the sound. Maybe put in some vocal samples, a little more distortion, but like said above, it just depends on what sound you want. Good job!
