Found this music video and subsequently this movie's website.

Seems that CombiChrist and VNV Nation are doing the soundtrack for this flick.

It's cyberpunk and has cool music. That's about all I know. No idea who the director is. It seems like this is his first feature length flick. Could be an instant cult classic. Could be a horrible film with a cool soundtrack.

I think I'll drop 5 bucks to check it out, whenever it gets released.

Hey, they played that video at the Ground Zero club in Minneapolis when I was there a few weeks ago. I have been looking forward to this movie since I heard about it in late winter. The website says it is supposed to come out "Summer 2006" and it's summer now, so when's the date? Grrrr I wish they would tell us these things! I am definitely going. I hope it doesn't suck :)

Yeah, it'd be nice to know an actual date.

I think there's probably some sort of a snag getting it distributed and no one outside the inner circle is in the know about it.

I'd travel to see it. I drove about an hour and a half to go see Mirrormask and I'm sure I'd do the same for this film. Although, now that I live in a major city, I kind of doubt I'd have to travel very far.

Still, even if they can only get it shown in limited theaters, I'd go see it. At the very least, I'll get treated to cool, original music by VNV Nation and Combichrist.

Amen to that. I haven't seen MirrorMask yet, but I think I might just buy it if I see it. I am a big fan of Neil myself. My favorite book so far is Neverwhere and I am currently enjoying Anansi Boys.

Donno. Probably not. Searching on Google for glis and "gene generation" doesn't turn up anything interesting.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0438052/

The website front image still says 2006, and if you click the news link it takes you to a xanga.com blog which is even worse than myspace imo.

This whole thing stinks of massive fail.

Well, the myspace blog says they're scheduled for a screening at the end of August--but have to cram 2 months of work into 2 weeks.

it may happen.

on the other hand, it does reek...

I think that the movie has been delayed, but will still be coming out soon if it hasn't already. I've heard some people say that the movie sucked. Who knows, maybe the movie is already out? BTW, you should look up a movie called NIGHT. It features music from Combichrist, God Module, Suicide Commando... you know, the big Metropolis Reords artists. Should be that hard to pick up or locate. Maybe you can find it on the Brain Damage Films website.

Evidently the movie came out October 31 in the States. On DVD?

It probably sucks.
