I don't really care about labeling "goths" or "emo kids" since I believe everyone holds a bit of everything within themselves. People are so judgmental. Who cares what you want to call yourself or what you think you are? No matter what you believe or don't, you're unique :p

I am a Misty.

That's all that really matters to me.

Being a former "Goth" myself ... (European kind, not the American) .... i can only look back and feel somewhat "awkward" about the style ....
I respect everyone's right to wear and dress as they please, but to me is not a style i'd look into or admire ....  (kinda like dressing as an R&B singer) .... just NOT appealing ....

now Emo .... wow .... where to even start ....
i only have ONE thing to say about it .....
at least the possibility exists that one day, those kids may realize how ridiculous their image is, and EVOLVE or progress onto more hardcore stuff ....  after all, you can't appreciate caviar if you haven't tasted turds before.

Most people tend to want to identify themselves with some group.  Kids just have more options now than back when "The Breakfast Club" was made!

Frankly, I've always felt the goth scene was a great home for everyone who couldn't identify with traditional social categories.  Kind of the "other" category, as it were.  In general, most everyone I've met have been quite open to all types of people - provided they weren't dumbasses, loudmouths, or antagonistic.
