Quake Live is currently in closed beta. Any DG listeners also playing? I believe it will be going to open beta soon.

I use the same name there, look me up as Atrius.

Nah. Quake Live is simply Quake 3. They've created a web portal system and basically integrated it into a browser plugin. So all of your matchmaking, leaderboards, etc are all done through a nice web portal that lets you find games and friends easily.

It works pretty slick, but it's just oldschool Quake 3 gameplay. There are existing maps and few maps I've never seen.

I don't know about calling quake 3 'trash,' but Unreal Tournament (2004, or 3) is definitely, hands-down, more fun.
