Anyone here watch anime? Any good series? I'm just finishing up Darker Than Black, and I have to say I really like it.

i dont know a whole lot af anime myself, i got what i have caught up in from another thread (there's one around talking about various series)
what i have seen and liked was definitely "berserker" (i think it was called) and hell girl
the one thing i heard most about but never seen is "bleach"

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. Briliant mindfuck serie.
Elfen Lied. Be warned, contains nudity and extreme gore. But its truely one of the best series Ive ever seen.

I've watched a few series myself but nowadays i rarely ever watch it!
I've seen Ghost in the shell, Blood+,Blood the last vampire (theres a live action film comin out soon!!), uhmmm, Elfen Leid, a little of Shakugan no Shana, Vampire Hunter D, Card Captor Sakura :D And i think a few more but i cant think right now!
One series i really hate is Naruto; like everyone i know that watches it has those annoying headbands T.T They're well geeky!!

stay clear of shounen. Thats stuff like Bleach, Naruto and DragonBall. They usually go on endlessly and are pretty predictable.

good things i've watched are: Welcome to the NHK , Black lagoon, samurai 7, Cowboy bebop (classic), Ergo Proxy, Casshern (SiNS), Soul Eater )was ok untill the ending) , Sengoku_Basara (just started to air only one episode is out and it seems ok) Also the new Fullmetal Alchemist is airing the second episode should be out sometime today. hmm dont forget Neon Genesis Evangelion if you havnt seen it. Also if you like fighting robots the gundam 00 series isnt to bad, i enjoyed it and i dont really like any of the Other Gundam.. I guess if i knew more of what you liked i could help you out more!

How could I forget to list my favourite anime of all times ever: Code Geass! Seriously that show is secks. Combine Death Note and big robots fighting over Japan and you get epic win.
And Id totally go gay for Lelouch. But ehm...thats just me.

I watched Howl's Moving Castle this weekend (sorry, I'm not cool enough to know the name in Japanese.)
Was pretty cool though. I like most Miyazaki stuff. Not a big anime fan in general (I'm not really into the 12 year series made for 11 year old girls) but I do like a lot of his work.

Ehr there are a lot of anime definatly not made for 11 year old girls. Or kids in general. Go check out Elfen Lied if you want proof. It contains more gore the an average horror movie, more nude then porn movies and touchy subjects such as child abuse..... |

Cowboy Bebop, Gungrave, Ghost in the Shell, Elfen Lied, FLCL (Furi Kuri), Trigun
My favorite is Ghost in the Shell, and the two weirdest ones are Elfen Lied and FLCL.

Death Note is absolutely the best anime series I've ever seen.
I also recommend Berserk if you're not allergic to brutal violence (you could start with the anime, but the manga is a lot better - the best one I've read).
Eyeshield 21 is a lot of fun too.

I've never had the motivation to really get into anime, but I do enjoy Trigun, Big O, Cowboy Bebop, and some of the old Gundam stuff.
