I see a great deal of electronic musicians using Ableton right now.
I must be too traditionalist, I use a macbook and Logic for all my music.  It is not the best for composition, but I usually lay that stuff out with a cheap multitrack.  I use a great deal of hardware though, I prefer the tactile feel of all the hardware, and just do the sequencing and everything in any sequencing software.
