Because gamers tend to watch anime, what are you guys watching? what do you like to watch?
I'm currently watching Naruto, Initial D and GTO. Just finished up Elfen Lied, that show is badass.

I did like Samerai Jack however....not sure why.

Right now im watching Bleach and Death Note. I haven't seen elfen lied, though its on my to-see list. I allready downloaded it, but haven't watched it yet. I just finished Speed Grapher, which believe-it-or-not was the most sexual anime I think I have ever seen. (No hentai for me, please). I LOVED GTO, I named my server "Onizuka" after him. Initial D was cool, but repetitive imo. Stopped watching Naruto after episode 80 when it felt that the show should end. Also my friends said that there were alot of filler right after ep. 80.
On an unrelated note, I just got battlefield 2142. It seems to be very very close to battlefield 2, but its still fun. I can't stop playing :) Mechs + DigitalGunfire FTW!
So guys, what is your favorite series? And where do you download your anime? I'm curious and need some new sites :)

Hongfire is pretty good for series.
Excel Saga is the only series I really like. I prefer films, like Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, personally.

Various films, or whatever friends might be watching, Trigun and cowboy bebop both were interesting. What I own? Record of the Lodoss Wars, ghost in the shell (1 and 2 - plus a few of the stand alone ones), Black Jack, uhh, I'd probably have to dig through my dvds I think I have a couple more

Did "Shirow" come from the name of the creator of Ghost in the Shell?

I just attended an anime convention mostly for two friends of mine this past week-end, and what was really lame was that all the kids were dressed as characters from Naruto and Death Note. I would have liked to have seen more diversity or cosplays from less-mainstream animes.
This summer I bought the Read Or Die (R.O.D.) series and movie, the Blood:The Last Vampire movie which I had enjoyed when it came out,and I also got the Fushigi Yuugi(The Mysterious Play) boxset which includes the OVA and follow-up of the series.
I had previously enjoyed watching movies such as Petite Cossette,Ghost Talker's Daydream,Interlude,Ah!Megamisama the movie (Ah My Goddess),the usual Miyazaki films...I saw many in one year since my ex lived near a dvd rental place. Obviously Ghost In the Shell Innocence.
I also had watched that year part of the series Gantz, which is pretty retarded but hey you can laugh at how ridiculous it is and not to mention perverted. Master of Mosquiton the Vampire was amusing. Vampire Princess Miyu was enjoyable. Serial Experiments Lain I never saw fully but it puts me to sleep. Revolutionary Girl Utena the movie is ...leaves you "what the fuck?!" ...Armitage The Third is alright. Desert Punk I didn't bother much with.
Noir is also a good one.
The list goes on ;D
Nowadays when I went to the cd store I saw they had some new anime of a more "dark" nature, that I'd even go as far as saying they make the characters look goth or cyber. o.O

Oh yeah, how can I forget...I watched Excel Saga this summer as well and that was my absolute favorite. Non-stop rambling and hyper-nonsense galore! And the last episode is a random hentai-gore crazy episode that was over-the-top and banned on purpose for a long time because the writer wanted to see what he could do to push the boundaries.
