Anything with cool covers of non EBM-songs in EBM-format! I never thought that I would hear a cover of Kim Wilde on DG, but now it's playing with Apoptygma :)

Looks indeed very nice!

Yep, very nice. I particularly like to see album information. I have several text files on multiple computers with names of good songs, but not always with the album info (i.e. I don't know on which album a particular song or mix is available). I would certainly appreciate an option where I quickly can click a link on the site which adds the current song/album information on some kind of list, perhaps even with some personal rating option. It would then be much easier for me to compile a list of the next couple of albums that I wanna buy. Sort of a shopping cart, but only for compiling data purposes.

Hey, that was a really cool project :)

How about some Britney, or Aguilera. Or even better, the pre-hair cut Michael Bolton ?! Haha :)

Nah, seriously, I would enjoy some older stuff played. I just reviewed some old music I have of bands like Neon Judgement, The Young Gods, Die Krupps, Revolting Cocks, Poésie Noire etc and would love to hear much such as this. DG plays a lot of new music and I've found a lot of new bands to listen to through DG. But, it's also quite nice to rediscover good music that you'd forgotten you liked once. Also makes you recognize a lot of influences in contemporary music. DG just played Cesium 137 - The Storm and to me it just sounds like Human League. Anyhow, I'm not suggesting that mixing the content even more might be a good way, but I do think a lot of listeners would enjoy "themes" once in a while. E.g. play a certain type of music every other Friday. Just my $0.02.

Reloaded sounds like an excellent good idea! Btw, please make sure that you clearly list when any specials will be broadcast, and preferably in a way that's easy for us Europeans to understand - i.e. 24-hour clock and an European time zone :-)

[edit] Oh yeah, as always, thanks for a great stream!
232  General / General Discussion / What would you change about Digital Gunfire? on: November 08, 2006, 04:46:08 pm
Yeah, it might be that I'm getting old, but I've noticed that I usually tune in to something else when the channel gets too distorted. In other words, I too prefer a "more (or at least mostly) ebm, future pop and synth" approach.

[edit] Oh, I should add that I do enjoy some distorted stuff. Currently, Decoded Feedback - Sacrilege is playing, and I like that song. I'm just not fond of the stuff that raises your pulse in an unnatural way (i.e. high BPM and 'sound' that makes me wonder if my sound card just broke) :)

Haha, it really sucks, but strangely enough it's still somewhat amusing. What really convinced me was that bad ass RSS icon!  :D

Keep them coming!

Today; something like a couple of hours ;)

Otherwise; since somewhere around 2001, I think.
235  General / General Discussion / Buying stuff at Amazon on: September 04, 2006, 11:05:29 am
Shirow, I suppose you get a few bucks for sales of records at Amazon if you use the "Buy this album" link (at least I hope you still do). Since I've bought several records from Amazon, I was wondering if there's a way to get a link that works with the amazon.co.uk store. I really don't want to have to pay import taxes and other stuff just to get a record from the US, instead of buying it within the EU, and if I add the records manually using my co.uk account you obviously won't get a referal.

So, is there a way to create a link for us European customers? I only bother because I like the idea of you getting a kick-back from Amazon, if that's not the case then I might as well look for some other place to buy stuff. TIA.

Usually happens with winamp when the stream is down for some reason. The winamp buffer will typically contain the last 10 - 15 seconds of data, and will play that we you try to listen to the stream. If you only have the DG stream in the play list and you have winamp configured to repeat the list you'll get this effect since winamp will detect the broken stream and move on to the next item on the playlist, thus looping over and over again.
