well its a great stream.. but as is similar with most music thats played at clubs.. there is a strong lack of guitar/rock oriented crossover ebm/industrial artists in circulation. these bands are my favorite kind of sound and seem to be kinda *taboo* to the relative goth scenes. duno why. id love to hear bands like zeromancer, sexydeath, dope stars inc, empyrean asunder, RAZED IN BLACK, kevorkian death cycle, red cell, so many other greats.

General / General Discussion / Re: A hypothetical question about MP3 purchases

well, for myself i have no real interest in *buying* mp3s. i mean i use soulseek and other p2p programs to find most all artists music before its even released.
the only reason i really like to *buy* music is to own the actual cd. partially due to the artwork and just the satisfaction of *holding in your hand*. (:

i never understand the and one --> depeche mode comparison honestly lol. but, yeah they aren't the worst band ever. but yea, and one vocals are typically the redundant monotonous goth voice that has become ever so standard in most futurepop/ebm music whereas depeche mode have more elaborate song structures with fluxuating vocals. i realize not all and one is monotonous like this tho i suppose.
i do love the song 'sometimes'.
shrug, germanys worst? na.. thatd have to be SCOOTER!!! haha

apop is funny. they went from this serious synthpop goth sound to this synthpop rave sound and now to this crappy electro rock/pop sound.
i mean i still dig some of the new songs, like 'in this together' but overall i really wish they just kept their dance sound/direction. some songs on harmonizer and welcome to earth are just great. i hate it when electronic based bands try to go in a 'rock' direction and integrate real drums or whatever. the results are never an improvement imo. just like dsi too. *shrug*

id say vac peaked @ the 'Fun With Knives' cd. and thats a good place to start.
that has the greatest songs imo including ''fun with drugs''!! :D and there is no god.... the dark inside me.. awesome stuff.
twisted thought generator is good too in similar ways to fwk being kinda dance approachable, but nothing quite had the hooks of the songs on the fun with knives cd for me.. except maybe the bound and gagged remix of dial8 (which was a great albeit massively overplayed club hit, at least here)
calling ov the dead is good too.. a bit harsher there not quite as catchy. production not nearly as nice either tho.. but timeless visions has a great vocal line. as for any of the recent cds, nothing has caught much of my attention. i think there are 2 newer releases post twisted thought generator but it has gone into a more downtempo experimental like sound as i remember.
fun with knives ftw
