Hey guys, i really like it. Especially Truth. But i love a lot of harder so called industrial rock type stuff (or whate'er the label police call it) that we will ne'er see on here. Which is perfectly fine. i absolutely love DG and i came to terms back when i first joined, that i'm not going to see any Ministry, Manson, NIN, Zombie, Drown, 16 Volt, etceteblah, etceteblah. It's just not what DG is. So although i really dig your style, whether or not it fits in here is completely seperate. This man's humble and inconsequential opinion is no. But again, regardless of what other's might say, i think you've done a great job and have my full respect and listeningship. i care not whether others consider something is an obsolete style or whate'er. i like what i like and that is all that matters to me. After all i didn't think that people that listen to the non-mainstream styles of harmonic heaven that we here do were susceptible to trend-mentalities.

General / Technical Support / DG on my phone?

ok, so i think i've mentioned before on my slim 1 or 2 posts that i am far from techo-savvy. i'd almost go as far as to say that i might e'en be technotarded. mine ignorance is rampant, ugly and embarassing. But hey, i got a late start in life when it comes to technology and gadgetry. The fuel firing my little self-depreciating monologue is that i cannot get DG to play on my cell phone. i just finally got Web service on it and of course, DG was the first thing i wanted to try out. Now i will readily admit that it is a poor craftsman that blames the tool and that most errors are user errors and all that, so perchance the fault be mine. But when i get onto the site (which is disappointingly less visually appealing on this damn little phone) and click on the 'Listen' tab, i get this "Error: Malformed URL". Granted, i get "Insufficient memory for this operation" when i first get onto the page, but once i close that window, it still allows me to tab through the site. i can get into the Forum and Reviews and just fine and e'en the Store after a bit of stubbornness. So is my kung fu just not good enough? Something to do with the size of the stream? Mine ignorance betrays me. Any ideas out there? Any input is much appreesh.

i know this response is a bit late in coming, but i haven't been able to log on since the revamp. When i finally got around to addressing the issue, Shirow, of course assisted marvelously.
My meager cents amount to this: i think you've outdone yourself with the new layout, Shirow. Incredible, satisfying and fulfilling. Thank you for all the hard and selfless work you continue to put into my (and hopefully all of ours) favorite source of music. Indeed, if my PC is on then so is DG. Cheers and well done!
As ever, be well.

Thanks for the reply x0n1c! i actually upgraded Firefox earlier this week and i downloaded flash player again, just in case. Unfortunately the web based player still hates me :(
i suppose it's not that big of a deal since i play it through itunes anyway, but dammit i wish i knew why it won't work. Is winamp better to play through (i really hate using media player) or is it just personal taste?

General / Technical Support / Web Based Player

i've been meaning to ask this ever since joining back in July of 06. This site (which is always playing if i am awake!) introduced me to Moxilla Firefox, which i love. Much more so than Internet Explorer (i have some unexplainable deep-rooted mistrust of Microsoft in general). Only i cannot get the web based player to work through Mozilla as it will in Explorer. When i attempt to use it it states that "additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page". When i click on the 'install additional plugins' there are no suitable plugins to be found.
Electronic and industrial music has been the symphony of my days for the past 14 years now, but i'm probably one of the few members here that is not all that computer literate. Hell, i never even had access to one until i bought my first one at age 26! So any advice here would be greatly appreciated. i am assuming that i have to manually install the plugin, but i have no idea which one or where to find it.
much gratus!
BTW, this is my first post!
:D
