Dudes. that is right on, cool.
I am only familiar with the Clock DVA album I got when I was young.  The Album,  Thirst.  I sure would like to hear their stuff done after.  The other one I have that is quite unique is Second Layer.  World of Rubber.  Underneath the Glass and Definition of Hounour are a bit disturbing.   Then of coarse I have been getting access to Executive Slacks and the track Nausea with the video is absolutely crazy.
Cheers mates.  Here is to crazy.

thanx for the company

Wow right on.  I was just listening to Clock DVA this weekend.  And it just happens to be the very first industrial record I ever got that was given to me from a friend who did not like and understand what he had.  And that was a very long time ago.  I was listening to it as I am still trying to figure out how to transfer vynil to MP3.  And since I was to drunk to figure that out.  I was playing some of my real old vynil and DVA just happened to jump out of my collection.  Good to see that there are others who know Clock DVA.  cheers mate.
79  General / Other Music / Re: Trance, Psytrance on: July 31, 2011, 08:29:28 am
Been on the trance wagon as long as I've been on the industrial wagon (that is, since the early nineties), but to a lesser degree than industrial...

I guess part of the reason that I haven't gotten more into trance is that I've totally failed at actually finding the trance I want... close to 20 years now, and I'm still getting almost all my trance through the mainstream compilations (which gets quite stale after a while). I suspect it's because there's a mismatch between what I like and what people who has trance as their main interest likes...  (which seems to be chillout, goa, psy - and mostly incarnations of those that I don't really like that much).

The closest thing I've found to examplify the kind of trance I like is this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ofr5jcl1Vnc

I guess this is more on the epic/dutch side of the the trance landscape, so I guess I'm gonna
be targeted by the trance inquisition now, but meh...

So, any suggestions to review sites, new release listings or anything where stuff like that pops
up?

Gate Crasher compilations always seemed to be satisfying for me when I was into the trance thing on a more regular basis before I was told about Digital Gunfire.  But they are not new releases unless it has been putting out more compilations I have not come accross.  But then I have not really been looking either.  All I know is that the ones I did get were good.  British.

I pretty much agree with each and every one of the responses to this post.  Sometimes I like a mix of trance in with industrial.  if it is done right it works.  And I know its done right when it makes me ride hard on my mountain bike.
I sure will be on the hunt to explore that Juno reactor Mona Lisa Overdrive.  The book was almost as good as Neuromancer.  And that happens to be one of the best reads I have ever done.  Before I found DG I used to stream in Proton Radio.  Yet my industrial roots keeps me on DG now always.  However.  I sure dont mind when a good trancy beat is mixed in with industrial.  To each their own ehh.

Eehh, what book? Mona Lisa Overdrive is from the Matrix reloaded soundtrack.
That soundtrack came years after the book was written.  Mona Lisa Overdrive is William Gibsons second book which came after Neuromancer.  And both books are fukin great.  Burning Chrome was his third book and then Virtual Light   Burning Chrome is a book of his short stories.  Back in the 80's when I read Neuromancer.  I had to start reading it about 4 times so I could understand the techy language he was writting about.  Kind of like the way he coined the term cyberspace for the world to use.  In Neuromancer, the internet was refered to as the matrix.  Or something like that.  But back in the 80's.  Neuromancer was about the best science fiction that I have ever read and Gibson sure did forcast the computer world the way it is now back then.
And I must not leave out the fact of fiction that he also forcast the way the computer world will be in the future when humans can get wet plants into a hardrive.  Yet that was pretty much covered in the matrix movies.  If you read Neuromancer.  You will really understand what the matrix is all about and there is a shit hot cool killer chick that has razor nails to extend and kill with.

Traveling to the girl of my dreams.   I have moved through time, space, and distances that can not be measured.
I'm thinking I might know where to go next.

Ya Hey thanks for that Shirow.
I have been figuring it out as I go along and have been thus discovering how to do such complicated things on this PC.
good job on the new look.  I am getting used to it yet I sure do like going back to the home page cover sight.
Later Dude.  Its getting late here in Newfoundland and I am up early tomorrow.
84  General / General Discussion / Re: Rivetheads - What do you wear? on: July 19, 2011, 06:29:25 pm
Ya jeans folded at bottom and a t shirt are my faves now allthough I have gone through several majore style waves according to state of mind.
But I do need to have on my black work boots issued for the Hybernia Platform.  They were to cool to wreck them at work so they are my dress boots now and have held solid for the last 2 years.  Leather covered over carbon toes and carbon shank. They will go through security without sounding the alarm.  They are tough and cool.
My DG T shirt is for special occasions.  And I did buy a black leather belt at Canadian Tire for 7 bucks the other day with double holes riveted in all around and its on right now.  Hair is just as crazy as my life.
I will try to figure out how to get a photo in here from my other time.  I like what you did NeonNightmare and that picture with Aryia is way to cool.  I have one sort of simalar with me and Ogre except taken after I was slapping the blood off his face for a video shoot.  It is then a close of up with the blood on both of us.  A bit of testosterone going on the set that day with me and Ogre.

Hey thanks for that word of encouragement kmfdm1308.  One of the reasons I like this place so much.  To communicate with the superior sound ears of the human race.  And recieve positive responses back.
I to would like to share what I have on vynil from so long ago when I first discovered industrial music.
I have the turntable now to transfere the vynil to digital.
And my dream to make a shit hot compilation burns in my head all the time.  When I get it done Shirow will be getting the first copy as I am still working on another project for Shirow.  A more industrial 3 demensional piece of art.
Setting up my shop has taken time inbetween work Shirow.  But I got my torches fixed up just today and can now carve the steel before I grind it.  I have not forgot my promise.
Patience will be rewarded.
Cheers to all.

I'm still waiting for the new boomerang I designed up in Labrador to come back.
I guess I will just call it a stick.  So much for the patent on that one.
88  General / Song Requests/Complaints / Re: Suggest some music! on: July 15, 2011, 03:03:14 pm
OK back again.  I was with my one industrial friend here in St John's the other night and she asked me about something really good from before.
I suggested Liasons Dangereous.  Los Ninos Del Parque.  We U tubed it and it was there.  That song has been considered,  considered as to the point of royalty for industrial music.  Check it out.  It really is amazing in both the vynil track and the live version with video.
Old Ministry was mentioned earlier in this forum.  I would have to say Twitch is one of the best with Ministry.
And then of coarse we can not dissmiss Portion Control.  Some of the earliest of where industrial came from.  The album Hit the Pulse has Death by Venom and Abbo Dabbo.  Tex Mex from the archives would rate up with the other 2 I mentioned.  And of coarse the Album, I Staggered Mentally is so totally industrial it makes one think in analog.
So much more that is not on the play list.
I could go on with more on this subject yet for the time.  I would love to hear back some thoughts on who ever reads this and checks out that Liasons Dangereous track.  los Ninos del parque.  Happy thoughts to what I mentioned and please dont take this wrong Shirow.  I just thought to mention some of the good old times.

Hello to all.  I got back from Labrador last week and had my internet cut when I got back.  And the signal sucked up there.  Stream cutting in and out.  Well anyways I cought up on my bill yesterday and am reconnected with the sound coming from my amp.   Lets hope it stays that way.
Now lets get back to the point of this forum.  Suggest some music.  Just like the first generation of industrial music when I became fixated on it 25 years ago.  Some was crazy noise.  And some was the most stellar classical industrial music reigning over all other kinds of music in my mind.  I find very it very simalar with this new generation I am now learning about thanks to DG.  I have to go right now but when I come back I have something to request that I know will not be on the data base.  But it is so fukin good.  All who listen to Digital Gunfire should really know about this group from 1982.  Be back soon.

OK  I had to reboot to DG and I got the playlist back in the right shade.  Dark.  I just had to see the Ayria cover.
But then when I go back on to forum.  It goes all bright and I can not get back to current playlist.
OK,  I will just figure as I go along.
Goodnight to all...
