As for the term "futurepop", I avoid it completely.  Why?  Well first of all, "synthpop" is a perfectly descriptive term that overlaps pretty heavily with it anyway, and second of all, what are we going to refer to "futurepop" as twenty years from now, when it's actually pastpop?

I mean, how stupid do you feel referring to "New Wave" music?  80's music is hardly "New" anymore...


weeeeeelllllll ... it's difficult for me to call it synthpop
since i would associate *older* music with that term, a la OMD, human league, new order, ultravox, early depeche mode, erasure, pet shop boys, etc

they do sound way different than the modern stuff, which is rather a mix of techno with industrial ... or so  :shock:
