Hey Djamnesia.  How far back can you go with old Ministry.  I have Twitch on vynil and it is a pretty damn cool piece of work.  I nearly killed myself on my mountain bike and was listening to Angels at the time.  It was real loud.  There was lots of blood.  But without a doubt.  It was my skateboard helmut that saved my life.  And the fact that there was no immediate traffic behind me when I jumped that driveway lip and found myself sideways in the air.  The roads are old here in St John's and that lip had a jagged chunk out of it.  Summer time with no shirt on thus the blood.  But my head was last to strike and the fiberglass chunk out of that helmut would have been my skull.  Had to replace the helmut.  Hard to replace a skull.
Anyways,  Ya some old Ministry would be kinda cool.
P.S  I was still listening to tapes off my old weatherproof walkman then.  And that was always the first thing to pick up after a crash.  Tape, batteries, put it back together, check my bike.  And then finally see what might be broken on me.  Ha Ha.
Your comment on old Ministry just hit that memory trigger switch.

I couldn't see any Komor Kommando in the database, but I'd be very happy if I did!

Thanks

New Decree out (FLA side project) - but might be too calm/ambient for DG

Necro Facility - Wintermute - it's fantastic...really catchy
(here's a link from the previous album - and the new one is even better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XAYm2ZH0V8)

Also, I discovered this band named DavaNtage. Don't know anything about it, only found
a 2CD named "Over The Pass / Dix Ans" marked as "Various Artists", but they're listed as
the artist on all the songs on the first CD... anyway, it's really really great...

I'm surprised that Bigod 20 isn't listed on the music database. Maybe I just missed it?

Hey zeno.  Thanks for that update on Necro Facility.  It is a good sound and of coarse I like the cover arts that I saw on the utube page you had listed.
Wintermute has an interesting history where that word or name was first used.  And I think that Necro Facility does a good job in representing that history.

Thought I'd put in a plug for Helltrash.  Saw them live when they opened for another band a couple years ago and was pleasantly suprised and I'm still digging them.  My 2 favorites were from their digital release were I am the Enemy and Cannibal.

Note: I like a lot of grindy electric guitar in my music so it might not be for everyone.  There are some remixes out there featuring Combichrist, etc. that might fight the bill though.

I just discovered Schwefelgelb.

If not for DG, at least check them out. If you like the 8-bit sound, they make some use of it but not over the top.

Hey Drew youŽre right Schwefelgelb is pretty cool - heard that "Welcome to my Pornoshow" thing?

Almost rolled off as i heard that one for the first time ...

If you like that 8-Bit Sound try the latest release by Eisenfunk (named 8-Bit anyway).

So Eisenfunk is missing too... :D

As it turns out, pornoshow was the song I found first.

I actually really like Eisenfunk's 8-bit album.

Mind.in.a.box also did a song titled 8-bits on their last album. It's still classic, well produced mind.in.a.box sound and not too much 8-bit sound in itself. I honestly think the song is about classic video games, more than anything. Here's a link to a video they did for the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoGpLl-SUfk It's actually a fun video to watch.

I you really want to get into 8-bit music, look into chiptunes. There's some pretty wild stuff out there.

Hello to all.  I got back from Labrador last week and had my internet cut when I got back.  And the signal sucked up there.  Stream cutting in and out.  Well anyways I cought up on my bill yesterday and am reconnected with the sound coming from my amp.   Lets hope it stays that way.
Now lets get back to the point of this forum.  Suggest some music.  Just like the first generation of industrial music when I became fixated on it 25 years ago.  Some was crazy noise.  And some was the most stellar classical industrial music reigning over all other kinds of music in my mind.  I find very it very simalar with this new generation I am now learning about thanks to DG.  I have to go right now but when I come back I have something to request that I know will not be on the data base.  But it is so fukin good.  All who listen to Digital Gunfire should really know about this group from 1982.  Be back soon.
