...the verse is either that or "you never loved me anyway". Or both may be in the song. i know i've heard it - quite possibly literally - maybe a hundred times on DG. It's rather high BPM and the male singer reminds me of kind of Goth sounding vocalist. And that particular verse is sung rather emphatically i believe.

Any answers?

Anyway, it's been distracting me for the past couple of days so that i just spent the last 4 hours in the Music Database trying to find it. And i had much more pleasurable and fulfilling plans for this evening. But when i get focused on distraction, i......

Nope, not it Xeno. Not an horrible song, though i paid a buck to DL it. The one i'm looking for has more of a Gothy-darker voice even though it's high BPM

Ooooh, I know this song, but I can't think of what it's called!

I want to say it sounds like something by Andy LePlegua.  Possibly an Icon of Coil song.

It does sound very familiar. Bah. Let us know if you ever find out the answer. I am curious now.

My first thoughts were Informatik or Combichrist, but either the goth voice or the high bpm just won't do it then, unless both bands merged. :)

I ran this by a friend of mine and, on a long shot, he suggested Wolfsheim - I don't love you anymore. I'm pretty sure this is not it.

Did you ever figure it out?

Emergence - The Creeping Hours

This happens to be a 5 star song in my ratings already.

OMFG! I even checked my Emergence collection and didn't find it when this was originally posted!

And, yes, definitely a 5 star song.

{Unfortunately, 'Emergence' disbanded after only a few albums. Some members went on and formed 'Darker Days Tomorrow', while a few other former members started a project called 'Die Brücke'. Both of these new bands are worth checking out and worthy of some DG playtime.}

YES, YES, YES!!! A million times thank you. i had resigned myself to never finding out except maybe one day perhaps by accident. And today was that day. And thank you as well to Drew for requesting it today, because in a rare circumstance i actually heard the music playing over the raucous din of ever-present noise at work and what did i hear but "i never loved you anyway"! That was a most excellent feeling.

My eternal gratitude...

Indeed Drew, so much so that the day you posted that i actually looked to buy it online and not being able to, downloaded it from Amazon. Now it's on my RUN playlist on my Sansa Clip (love that little player BTW) among others.

On the DL note, i used to be a 'have-to-own-a-physical-copy-to-support-the music' kind of guy, but i have recently been straying away from that. Especially when it comes to finding things in this broad and vague genre we all so love, or hate or have mixed feelings of. After years of neglect, i finally decided that i should own Stromkern's Armageddon. At the time that i wanted it i couldn't find it anywhere for sale online, which i thought was practically impossible. But i did find a digital download on Amazon (used DG to get there - was it ever determined if Simon gets credit for purchases made on Amazon when following DG links to get there? Even if we navigate to a different item from the original link? just curious) and i had never done so before, but i said "what the hell, at least i'll have it for now and can buy the CD later when i can find it" and purchased the download. That was about 3 months ago and i've garnered several other albums since; mostly CDs i couldn't find to purchase, or at least not at some dikdonculous price.

i'm of two minds about downloads. i still have that nagging feeling of needing to have a physical copy of the music. Whether it's because of wanting the art flavor that comes with having a factory CD or the comfort of knowing that in case of a total PC crash (which has happened to me twice in the past 5 years)i have an original to restart with. But i also realize that as the future is made now, that technological advancement makes some things that we hold on to and cherish in our lifetimes unnecessary at best, stupendously obsolete at worst. Keep up or get left behind comes to mind.

So i guess i'l keep walking the line in multiple worlds - as i do in so many aspects of life - until one is ultimately snuffed out and no longer viable.

And the moral of this story is that i fucking love this song and the power and meaning behind it (lamentory and gothesque as it may be) and will always have mine ear.  =)
