Theory is when you know everything and nothing works.
Practice is when things work, and no one knows why.
Here we combine theory and practice.
Nothing works and no one knows why.

Well creepster.  I wish I could make it to Winnipeg to see them there with you.  But I will only be able to make it as far as Kinetic in Montreal.   And only if work does not sand bag me in.
Have a good one at the Pyramid creepster.

Oh.
WOW.

Is this what it feels like to get older and/or jaded and just somewhere along the line stop paying attention to concert tours...?

i do not like it!

When i first pulled up this thread my immediate thought was "Oh, that's a shame it's so far away. i would love to see FLA again since i always proclaim that they are my favorite band; ever. And it would be damn cool to see Ivardensphere too since DG turned me onto them. i had to look up DJ? Acucrack, but seems worthwhile as well. So within that short span of seconds, i ended up feeling a little bummed. But whatever. My thoughts are always over-brimming with far worse disappointments anyway.

Then i scrolled down and saw your waaaay too subtle "oh, and just in case this is not known"...

Sacramental Shite!!!

i'm not sure how much time passed, but when i could once again see straight and managed to pull myself up off of the floor and back into my chair i saw on the screen before me a most glorious sight. i couldn't exactly recall what had happened to me for i hurt and felt good in all the right and wrong places. Then i saw that distinctive emblazoned script upon my screen:

FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY vs DIE KRUPPS

Then, of course, it all made sense. The temporary loss of all senses and weakened physical condition marked by the presence of both pain and pleasure...

i had an aneurgasm

In case you're unsure, that's an explosive, debilitating, mental orgasm

You see, i had seen FLA and DK together (along with Numb) back in '96 here in Detroit. i already loved FLA for years previous to that, but it was the first time i was able to see them live (shame, i know).  It was a mixed crowd since most of the 'purists' at the time hated the introduction of the heavy guitars in Millennium; and Hard Wired seemed to be a weening apology back into pure electro. Hence the DnB feel of FLAvour of the Weak. But me? Nope. i never hate when i know a good thing. Good thing for me, that is. Might not be for you or yours, but honestly, that doesn't concern me.  All opinions are a matter of taste, and all tastes are a matter of opinion. I'd say irony, but that's inaccurate.

Just enjoy. Period

faelaenx,
creepster,
And of course all DG listeners.

I missed the Kinetic show with FLA vs Di Krupps 2 days ago.
I got sand bagged in at work.
I could not really afford to go with lost work and the costs of going.  And that sure sucked shite.

I wanted to go see Bill Leeb but could not make it.  And ya faelaenx, that is what getting old is all about.  I am not where I should be financially I guess because I actually was able to live the live of shows what I wanted and when ever I wanted.   Shows and the crazy life that made my life that much better.  It sure was fun.

Only, I am paying for it now.

But I am with good company right now and listening to what I grew up with in my early years.   The music that made me halfway cool when I did not have a clue before I learned of industrial.

Gotta go right now but will be in touch soon.
