Just a thought, right now.

If I was to, what would you like to see? Go crazy.

seems like you re-designed it just the other day but I guess it was a while ago.  I got a couple ideas.

- How about a now playing page that is synced to the stream that has a lot more info.  Something like the album cover along with pics of the band, album lists, general information about them, liner notes.  something like the music stations on cable tv.

- also put a like/dislike  button on the now playing page.  little easier for people to rank stuff then.  maybe even then set it up like a last fm stream.  subscribers get a personalized stream that cycles more of the things they like along with stuff they might like.  this would let you have broader standards for what is DG material.

Seems forum traffic dropped off significantly after the new site went up. I'm not sure if it's just me, or coincidence, but it seems posting just fell off entirely. I have wondered if the layout makes it difficult to find. It seems obvious and intuitive that it's there, but maybe it's not ergonomic enough. I really don't know.

I know it's been discussed, but I really liked seeing the queue for requests. If you are thinking about making changes, I'll throw that out again because you can't say no if we don't ask! :)

I like the layout and the feel of the site so I don't think that it needs a complete redesign. Maybe a few tweaks.

It's been about a year since the last redesign and I've learned a lot and there's a lot I'd like to change.

Doesn't mean it will happen terribly soon but I'm in the planning stages at least.

Yeah, since you moved community away under a seperate tab i think it decreased. I guess people are lazy.

Eh, it's my fault for poor design really.

It will be rectified.

Hey Shirow Hi...
I dont mean to sound complaintephfff.  How ever,  I can not seem to be able to find the current ongoing playlist to look at.
So much to learn and understand.  Yet now I cant find the route.  I know it still exists.  I'm sure it must.
I just can not seem to find it like before.
Maybe tomorrow,  after my hang over,  I will try to find it again.
Cheers all and,   Stay strong Shirow.  The stream of sound is good.

OK  I had to reboot to DG and I got the playlist back in the right shade.  Dark.  I just had to see the Ayria cover.
But then when I go back on to forum.  It goes all bright and I can not get back to current playlist.
OK,  I will just figure as I go along.
Goodnight to all...

I think your design is quite good for such a situation shirow. DG is a good example for a quite stable and comfortable site espacially for a station.
Since you´ve no commercials, banners or other annoying things flipping around it´s a very good site even with that "poor" design.

I would say as long as everything works that good just give it a little more of a technical touch (something with cables or circuit board looks).

Compliments for a great site and thank you soooooo much for supporting me with good music during work.

Hunter, you have to manually go back to digitalgunfire.com right now if you're on the forum.

How about a 'favorite song' list. If you like a song, you can add it to your favorites, so you can request it (and remember it) easier. I usually put albums in my 'wishlist' when I like a certain song, so as to not forget that song ect. It would just be easier to have a simple 'favorite song' button or something.

I don't know... xD

Ya Hey thanks for that Shirow.
I have been figuring it out as I go along and have been thus discovering how to do such complicated things on this PC.
good job on the new look.  I am getting used to it yet I sure do like going back to the home page cover sight.
Later Dude.  Its getting late here in Newfoundland and I am up early tomorrow.

Traveling to the girl of my dreams.   I have moved through time, space, and distances that can not be measured.
I'm thinking I might know where to go next.

Not so much a design feature, but rather a functionality request. I would really like to be able to browse the music database and see which songs I have rated. The idea is that I frequently rate songs myself in order to possibly buy a particular album later. But unless I remember the artist or write it down somewhere, I will likely not find out which songs I liked when it is time to purchase some new music. It would also be nice to browse all songs based on total rating (e.g. listed by average rating and number of ratings), regardless of whether I rated that song or not. Just a few thoughts in case you feel for spending some hours coding :)
