I saw that discussion at the technical sec and thought to myself it would be nice to start a threat
about that one.

Since i am bartending al litlle (just a hobby) i thought it would be great to share some recipes and other cool stuff that upgrades your party (any freaky decoration ideas?).

Well, drinks are absolutely awesome in creating special moods, ambience and you´ll probably the king on the next event (just takes a little practice with the good ol boston shaker).

Here i go:

Fukuchima Grande (naaa don´t even think about it) - "Glows under blacklight drink"

Take a Highballer for this one (or these great glasses you can easily find on amazon for example)

 http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS7Fxl6mQigVicoILKyjA_1WTbaCvOGyis-cibFVNSA--rCSVQg8Q

- 1 oz. Blue Curacao
- 1 oz. Premium Vodka of any kind
- 5-6 oz lychee juice

Shake those ingredients well, fill the glass up a half
and finally fill it up with a good tonic water.

The trick is done by a compound called chinin which reacts to blacklight (UV-lighting).

This gives your drink a shiny, "ghostly" appeal.

You can also use riboflavin (Vitamin B2) for this stunt - gives a little
more "massive" touch to it.

I will post photos of this effect later (still have to get them transferred from this
rotten mobile to my computer).

Have fun and enjoy!

For real?! Of course I thought it. Appeals to my sick sense of humor.

The concept reminds me of the drinks Guinan was always serving up at the bar on the NCC 1701D.

You´re right drew, they happen to look somewhat similar to those she served. You just need a lot of blacklight. ;)
