Fun with SIP + Google Voice + Android

Thanks to the magic of SIP, I now have a remote PBX with a UK and USA SIP #. I am running SIPDroid on my Android 'phone and I have an ATA in my house which is tied to my PBX.

My family in the UK can now make a local call to me which rings my cell 'phone across my WiFi (or even on 3G) so I can talk to them for free..

Also if people dial my Google Voice number, it rings my cell 'phone and my SIP 'phone at home.. and then my PBX will try to SIP dial my cell if it can't be reached by the cellular network.

Wish the future would come a LITTLE bit sooner.. feels like 'phone service is still stuck so far in the past, in the USA at least.. it was a lot of work to get this all setup :(

Shirow seems to be a nice fellow, i mean this is a lovely site, nice people and pretty colours, great music, intelligent conversation and a few lunatics inserted amongst the place and you realise that Shirows work has been mammoth and quite astounding.

Then there are times when you realise that he doesn't get out much.

Looks nice, although the image on the beer is rather dumb. It looks like something from the Middle Ages, which would be fine if the brewery actually existed back then. But the since 1985 kinda ruins it :P
And wow, there is actually a disclaimer on the bottle? o.O

That is their logo so it's on everything.

I believe all alcoholic drinks have a warning on them in the USA, like cigarettes.

Here is a nice vid from tinkernut on seting up sipgate and google voice. Just thought I would throw it up here for anyone wanting to try ths out. I use it all the time, also the "how-to" root my droid also worked great. cheers
