I don't have a computer and speakers in my front room so I would love to be able to stream DG through my PS3. I noticed virgin radio put up a way to stream to the PS3 web browser. I know this probably won't happen but I was just putting it out there.

The pop up web player comes up. I can hit play and the song name will load and the EQ will jump but then it just sits there.

Yeah, probably doesn't have the right plugin.. needs to be able to play Realplayer or WMA

Not sure how a PS3 would play MP3, I mean, the Real/WMA plugin I use is just taking the MP3 stream and rebroadcasting it in a different format.
There isn't a web player I know of that plays MP3s except the flash based ones like MySpace uses. I'll look into it though.

I use the XSPF web player from http://musicplayer.sourceforge.net to stream mp3s of my band site at www.forgetmeknots.netI dunno if this has the capabilities you'd need, but it plays mp3s in a web browser and is pretty simple. I imagine you can get it to play the dg stream directly, but I haven't looked into that at all.... Peace, daemonikal www.forgetmkenots.net |
