I have been looking forward to getting this system for the longest time.
Not too keen on the name Wii... but i can live with it.
Reason i've been wanting this system is becasue most of the old games for all previous generations are going to be available... either for free... or cheep DL.
Now they are saying that not only will they have NES, SNES, N64 and GameCube... but they will have best of Sega and TurboGraphic 16 too!!!
if they find tis to be a popular thing... the more 3rd party games are going to be available too.
...too bad its not going to be HD... only improved from 480i to 480p.
anyone else think they may get this?

I will buy the Wii but first I want a PS3. It will take about a year for me to get over the price of the PS3 before I buy the Wii.

probably going to stick with the PC for most of my gaming needs.
but, the Wii looks like it has a lot of potential and a price point significantly lower than either of the other systems, so I'll probably go that route.

I will buy ps3 first but after that I will buy the wii, which is the stupidest name ever... revolution sure was better altough it just was (oh crap I can't find the word :( uhm a name that it wouldn't be released with...)

I have Gc, Xbox, Ps2, Nes, Amiga, GB advance, and my little brother has a psp :D.

im gonna have to stick with the wii for reasons of price over the other consoles and you dont have to have an HD tv to see how great the graphics are
plus im a nintendo pwn, but I really hate the ds. id rather have a psp over the ds

I want the PS3 first, but MAN is it expensive... I do like the Wii's gyroscopic controller though; very innovative. We'll see if people actually like that though. I mean, what about people that can't move their arms anymore, etc.? No Wii for you! Yeah...Nintento must figure that most people will have arms. Way to check your demographics! :lol: </rant>

I can't love a $600 console.
Especially since Sony are being such assfaces about it.
And double-especially since I already have a 360, and it appears the majority of the PS3 developers will be developing for the 360 as well, anyway.
However, my wife will probably end up forcing me to buy a PS3 either way.

I can't love a $600 console. They do offer the $500 "option"...more like a smaller second asshole they rip you for it. Especially since Sony are being such assfaces about it. Aren't they always? You wife Rocks!...lucky Bastard. If i had to justify buying a PS3 it it would be that it can play HD movies. the current players out there are nearly twice the price. BluRay or HD-DVD.
