Okay, I thought that hearing a cover of a Kim Wilde song on DG would be the coolest cover, but I've just heard a Frankie Goes To Hollywood cover!!

Hey Shirow, perhaps you've got some more cool covers hidden in that record pile of yours? :)

Edit: ooo, I really must comment on the excellent transition from a love ballad to Feindflug. Great =)

And oh yeah, what is the info on the Wilde cover? i'm a HUGE fan of industrial/EBM/every other conceivable electronic nomenclature covers of 80s music, being a fan of and growing up in the 80s.

I'm going to assume you're talking about Apoptygma Berzerk's cover of 'Cambodia' by Kim Wilde? It's on their You And Me Against the World album..

Yep, I was an Apop cover. The FGTH cover was done by Concise (Power of love). I agree with faelaenx about enjoying music from the 80s being recycled. However, I also still just listen to the actual music (EBM and non EBM) from that era, it's usually better than newer covers ;)

You bet, i consider that a given!
i didn't particularly care for that Apop album that much, so i forgot it was on there. i'll keep an ear out for Power of Love, thanks for the info!

Caustic did the cover of Digital Underground "Humpty Dance" ... laugh every time..

I have a cd somewhere of nothing but Madonna covers by old industrial and ebm acts.
for some reason Madonna seemed to be the one to cover?

I also remember i think i have 2 cds where alot of industrial acts including Apop
covered Metallica. It was different. Razed in black and Battery and a few others in there..

Is this why I just listened to a Genesis, Land of Confusion cover by Machines Against Hunger?  Man that brought back memories, not sure what to think of it.
