So, with my workload recently I haven't had much time to update new music on DG and my backlog is horrendous. I'm looking for some help, maybe short term, maybe long term. All it is right now is previewing some music, picking out the good songs and uploading them to my server. I'd take care of the rest. If you're interested, let me know. Please think about it a bit first. I'd like someone to commit to at least 2 hours a week, no more than 4 or 5 hours a week expected. As long as you know how to play MP3s and use an FTP, you have the skillset required. The biggest thing is being able to identify music that should or should not be played on DG. Email me any questions - simon.westlake@digitalgunfire.com

Whats an FTP? If its not coding, I could probably use it. And if you mean with playing MP3's just playing them in a media player, then that shouldnt be a problem as well.
as for the time I should comitt. Not a problem, Im a student, I have way to much spare time.

I don't know what's the worst thing in the world, but being run over by a 18-wheeled truck might be worse than bored.

Nah, thats nothing. That just kills you. Boredom doesnt kill you. Its just very depressing and lonely. Because obviously, all your friends have college at the moment you dont and the other way around.

That sounds like fun actually; I've been listening/in the scene for a long time and think I could probably upload suitable songs.
However, I'm in the same boat as you it sounds like... I have 2 jobs already, and zero free time. Finding 2-5 hours a week would probably be a bit of a challenge without destroying whats left of my pathetic excuse of a social life...
A better option for me to lend support would probably be to finally get off my lazy ass and subscribe already. :P

In general, I'd have to agree, but right now I would love to sit on the couch staring at a blank wall in a drooling catatonic state for a few hours without a thought or care in the world.

If all it is for now is listening to music, I'm always looking for new stuff, and spend lots of time myself doing that. It'd help me find more of what I'm looking for to start a club someday. So I'm up for it.

I missed this thread until now, but if you need additional help, let me know. You have various ways to contact me and I'm generally doing a lot of nothing, all the time.
Oh and since I am bothering to post, FAVICON! I shall keep bothering you about that until it is there, dammit!

Indeed it sounds like fun, especially when you just attracted the users on the forums xD now we all want a piece of the action! Awe well too bad I know it's late and I have plenty of time on my hands but not really experience with indy music just yet. Most of the songs I'm starting to like I can't find anywhere there either that good or just rare. lol

One thing I do is search the net for things of interest and go from there. If you have money, there are plenty of weird and quirky mail order catalogues out there internationally that can provide (I buy things in from US & Germany), if your after rarieties, sometimes just dropping them an email can help especially when their a small business with heart. Also there can be some amazing shops in places, that have to be found by either word of mouth or popularity talked about. If no budget, and don't mind, thousands of mp3's scattered around the World wide web. :)
