First, you must be a subscriber. If you're not, go to the front page and subscribe!

After subscribing, you will be able to connect to the 192Kbps server. Use the links on the front page to select a player. You should be automatically connected to the 192k stream without needing to enter a username and password.

When you click one of these links, it generates a temporary (8 hour) session key that allows you to connect from a single location to the server. If you wish to connect from a second location, you will need to disconnect your existing session.

If you try to connect manually or after your key has expired, you will be prompted for your username and password, if your player supports authentication. If this happens, you may enter your username and password to listen (be warned that it is sent unencrypted) or you may return to the site and click the listen link to generate a new session key.

If you have any problems, please post here with your operating system and player.

Nice, works fine! However, I'm a little conscious about a password that's the same as for the forum since it seems to be posted using plain HTTP (i.e. no encryption). Now, of course, I use a low level security password (i.e. from my point of view) for sites like this, but I still think it's a little bad to use passwords without encryption. Would it be possible to set a special password for the stream only?

Yeah, I did think about that. The downside of a separate password is management, of course.

I will look into setting the authenticator up with an SSL certificate, not sure if it will work or not but I'll dig around.

Of course, you are also authenticating with plain HTTP when logging into the site/forum... :)

Yep, that's also true. Wouldn't hurt with a SSL certificate here too. You can actually find quite cheap certs that work in most browsers :)

Sorry :(

You may notice the 192kbps stream stopping/restarting a few times today, I am working on fixing the sync issue.

OK. It should be synced to within about 5 minutes now. Let me know if you notice any problems.

Great! I'll soon be home and can hear if there's any difference. Builtin computer speakers at work isn't exactly high-end sound ... ;)

It's still pretty beta, so let me know if you notice any weirdness. I'm watching it but I can't connect to 10000 at work either, so can't really monitor it ;)

BTW, this really is a sort of 'hacked together over a couple of nights' implementation. My plan for version 1.0 is to have listen links on the front page that will automatically generate a session key so you won't even have to input your username/password. You will just click a link and it will let you connect without any input on your part.

Yeah, I think I will get the SSL cert too and leave the username/pass option for people who don't want to come to the site every time.

BTW, requests should be working on the 192k stream now. Please let me know if you notice any issues with requests.

Yeah, it's coming along pretty well, just have a few bugs to work out.
