I assume you're talking about the 128k stream. If it downloads as a text file, it means your file associations are wrong. The quickfix is just to open the file with winamp, it should connect and begin streaming. Alternatively, you can try the web based player.

Session key method is implemented, clicking the listen links should auto-connect you with no request for authentication.

You can still auth by username/pass if you want to for some reason. The session expires after 8 hours so you'll have to regenerate a key then if you want to reconnect.

I just subscribed, but I can't access the 192kbps stream.

There are no links to it in home page after logging in. I copy pasted the URI from another browser, but still says I'm not a subscriber.

I've also re-logged in once.

Is there a delay for the subscribtion to activate?

Yes, I have to manually do it right now :) I'll give you access right away. I plan to automate the activation soon but I don't have that quite finished yet.

So, I've never really bothered to try the 192Kbps stream at work because my earbuds are crap, and now that I've tried, I get the following error message from Windows Media Player:  Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you are trying to play, burn, or sync an item that is in your library, the item might point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted.

This seems to be a pretty generic message [surprise!].  It seems that connecting is no different than to the regular stream other than logging in, so what could be my problem?  The machines here are pretty well buttoned down so I'm guessing that is probably it, but could there be another issue? Case of PEBCAK?  I'm not particularly savvy with IT anything.

Have you tried it with a different player? The message is pretty lame.. I will dig around and see if I can figure out what it means though.

I tried downloading winamp, but had an issue with the installation.  I haven't had much time to monkey with it though, so I'll probably try again monday morning.

EDIT: By the way, thanks!  :)

My error  "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If the problem persists, the server might not be available."

So seems like a proxy problem.  I haven't had any luck getting winamp to connect through the proxy, something about ISA server requires authorization (this is with the port 80 stream).

Windows Media Player connects to the port 80 server.  I have the proxy setup to use the same proxy for all protocols.  but no luck with the port 8080 stream.

Hum, I'm actually seeing issues with it too on the version of WMP at work. I think it worked OK at home. Looks like it doesn't like the session key in the URL perhaps. Try a different player, I think the issue is WMP, not accessing the server.

i usually have no problems connecting to the 192k subscriber stream with itunes (it pretty much does everything by itself)
but recently - i think with yesterday - it doesnt start any stream, the description i get in the itunes window is completely different as well (not something like "private subscriber stream" but "digitalgunfire.com:10000/subscriber"
