Blegh. Electronic music should *not* be played on a guitar. Its just not meant for it.....

i concur with electronic music is not meant to be transformed into an acoustic medium
i have a hard time with most of the bands introducing too many *real* instruments into their gig kinda miss the good ol' days of dive who just was on the stage with a DAT-recorder and a megaphone at least that was honest

Theory is when you know everything and nothing works. Practice is when things work, and no one knows why. Here we combine theory and practice. Nothing works and no one knows why.

Good stuff. Not a track I would put on repeat (it's on repeat enough as it is), but the concept and execution is great.
That industrial music isn't really made for being accoustic is just a plus point in my opinion. It's like a remix that actually introduces something new, and not just a different drum pattern or arrangement. It's also a "less is more" approach, exposing the underlying song (just like when playing in general midi). Good songs sounds good no matter how you play it (even in general midi), while the kind of industrial that doesn't have an underlying song really can't be covered.
It probably helps that I'm not one of those people who view guitars as something that must be avoided at all cost - preferably by law.

Egad. That is exactly the sound I hate most. Doesn't matter the song, it takes me right back to chapel at my high school where we were forced to listen to horrible amateur acoustic guitar music and self-important singing.

Hey man, i liked it too. Though i admit that much of what i love the most is of the genres played here on DG, i don't consider myself a purist or blasphemer either. Rather a wanderer along the spectrum betwixt. i like what i like as long as it elicits a response from me whether mental or emotional. And you have to admit, the dude's got talent. Other players of the guitar might not see it as such a big deal, but to someone like me, who has never played a musical instrument, it's impressive. We all have talents in differing arenas. For which, there is something to be said =)
